World History
Exordium
Long ago when the world was born, the first human was given life by the gods. They set him down in the world to observe his movements and actions. As they backed away, they saw him look around, walk up to a flower, and watched him crush it. The gods immediately began a heated debate, that if this was the nature of the humans they were about to place down, should they not just destroy them? For if they were to only destroy, what good would they be but for sorrow. Astra argued against this, believing that all things are good at heart. She proposed they let the humans live, and see if they did not work out their problems. The rest agreed, and they set down the humans onto the earth.
her form to look like them. Astra did so and found a small town surrounded by water to begin her search. She met a family at the docks and found that they did not seem to have any destructive emotions at all. She took interest in that and decided to stay with the family for a while.Hodie Potentia
The gods took Navo back to the heavens and sealed him away to keep him from causing more destruction. With his power suppressed, Atay was released from her chains and the gods went into another council. They knew that Navo's power had left a permanent scar on the people of the earth, for in them now was a nature of evil. They had also found, though, that humans had good in them as well, and decided to let them act as they would. To ensure there was no more interference, the gods sealed the passage from the heavens to the world. The gods did not know, however, that Navo had been able to send part of himself to the earth, where he took control of a human. Now he continues to influence the actions of people today, causing war and destruction on the world.
Root Towns
Δ Delta Server: Eternal City Mac Anu
Mac Anu, which means "Son of a Goddess", was named when the goddess Astra sacrificed herself to save the town. They named it Mac Anu in her honor to represent that the town would be as dedicated as a son in being a point of opposing the evil of the world. As time passed, Mac Anu turned into a large port city, located at the southern end of the continent. The central temple of the goddess Astra is also located here where they are trying to bring her back with prayer and devotion.
Ω Omega Server: Warring City Lumina Cloth
Origionally intended to be a resort, the plans for the city were changed mid-construction at the beginning of the Great War1. Therefore, the town has defenses built to withstand an assault, but the luxuries and decoration of a resort. Because of this strange mix, the elaborate Arena was built. It is a place where a large audience can comforatably watch others battle each other in a limited area. Eventually, a system was developed to rank teams in the arena, and the idea of an arena Emperor was formed. The temple of Cyric, the god of War and Revenge, is located here.
Γ Gamma Server: Militant City Lia Fail
The new city of Lia Fail was built after the original town was destroyed by the
battle between the gods. Because of the destruction, the citizens gave up their worship of the gods for science and war. They now believe that mankind evolves through technology, and that the strongest have the most developed weapons and machinery. Those citizens that still wished to side with Navo to oppose the other gods are rumored to have found his hidden temple, where they now live in secret.
Special Areas
Ruined City Lia Fail
Once the Relic City, this area was ruined when the gods confronted Navo to suppress him. The citizens that survived were forced to leave the hopeless area and build up a new city. Even though the town was destroyed, it is believed that Navo's hidden temple survived the battle and still exists here. Much later, the citizens of the new Lia Fail began to use the area as a testing ground for the development of their weapons.

Factions
Kestrel
Kestrel's base value is PKing. Normally the Guilds under this faction are known for random and merciless PK, but this is not always the case. This faction is in search of power and control, and directly opposes the Moon Tree faction for its peaceful ways. Many in this faction are mercenaries, PKers, or power searchers. Assassins and bodyguards are often hired from this faction.
Moon Tree
Moon Tree is a faction for peace. They are against ruthless and random PK, and also against pointless violence. This does not mean that the Guilds in this faction will not PK, and there are also no rules saying they cannot when they want to. This faction is trying to bring peace and order to the world, and directly opposes Kestrel and anyone else that goes against their moral values. They try to help others and attempt to keep order by persuasion, compromise, or force.
Raven
Raven is a faction not allied with Moon Tree or Kestrel, but will use whatever they must to reach their goals. Many are in search of something, pursue a specific goal, or just want to help. This faction has a wide variety of Guilds under it: from those based on player-services and religious beliefs, to knowledge seekers and other mysterious purposes and goals. This faction opposes any who go against them, and allies with anyone they think will aid their cause. Though they attempt to stay neutral, the other factions frequently find problems with them, either because they are in the way or because of their mind set to use anything to get what they seek. Many players are hired from this faction for tactical planning, items, and other services.
Artifacts
Chaos Gate
The Chaos Gate is the spinning portal in Root Towns that allows transport between towns and to other areas. Origionally designed to be a way for safe travel between towns when the 'shadow' roamed, it now provides convenient transport to various places.
Monsters
The monsters exist from one of Navo's plots to bring chaos and destruction to the world. He formed them from a deep pit in the Forest of Pain located on the northern side of the continent, where the 'shadow' was sealed. He created their forms from the 'shadow' after sending it at the humans. They were made to blindly attack and destroy anything that came near them, and Navo frequently uses them to further his plots.
